HANDHELD SOFTWARE

Palm

First the Palm family uses Plucker. This is a GNU based version of AvantGo, a program that syncs pages from the Internet. You must first install plucker on your Palm.

• Click the viewer, and choose open. This should install it on your Palm.

• Install the database with the OOPSLA Guide. Again, click on the link and select open. Alternatively you can download the file and beam it to your Palm.

You can beam the application and the database from a Palm to any other Palm PDA. For the application, go to the applications manager, select the menu and then beam. Select Plucker from the list.

The database can be send from within Plucker. Go to the plucker application, select the menu, select library. Click on the small icon on the left of the name. A menu will pop-up where you can beam. Good Luck!

PocketPC 2002 and others

The complete OOPSLA web site is also available as a hand-held-friendly site. This previous link can be used with AvantGo. Otherwise, you can download the site in a ZIP file and expand it on your handheld.
