SRC08: Automated Testing of Pointcuts in AspectJ Programs

Pointcut expressions in AspectJ, identify when and where a set of cross-cutting concerns should be applied. Pointcuts with incorrect strength fail to serve this purpose. Our framework automatically tests pointcuts, identifies their strength and determines variants of the expression to help developers choose an expression with the correct strength.
