SRC02: Improving Usability of Refactoring Tools

Refactoring tools often poorly communicate precondition violations, causing programmers to refactor slowly, conservatively, and incorrectly. In this poster, I show how the usability of refactoring tools can be measurably increased. In the long run, better usability will aid in the adoption and utilization of refactoring tools.
