Visa Requirements

Regarding Temporary Visitors to the U.S., the U.S. Department of State states the following:

Most Canadian citizens and many citizens from Visa Waiver Program countries can come to the U.S. without a visa if they meet certain requirements. Visa waiver travelers from ALL 27 Visa Waiver Program countries must present a machine-readable passport at the U.S. port of entry to enter the U.S. without a visa, otherwise a U.S. visa is required. Nonimmigrant visas are for international travelers, (citizens of other countries), coming to the U.S. temporarily. This visa allows you to travel to a U.S. port-of-entry (airport, for example) and request permission of the Department of Homeland Security immigration inspector to enter the U.S. A visa does not guarantee entry into the United States.

The conference hotel for OOPSLA 2009 is the Disney's Contemporary Resort, for which we recently have negotiated a lower rate of $189 USD per night (single/double occupancy). In order to get this rate, you must make your reservation by September 25^th using the on-line form or by calling 407-824-3869 (option 1) and quoting either OOPSLA or Association for Computing Machinery. We appreciate you staying at the conference hotel, because it provides financial assistance to the conference.

Dining

Boxed lunches will be available from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm in the porte cochere (outside in front of the Fantasia Ball Room Foyer) for a reasonable cost.

There are a number of dining options, both on premises and a short mono-rail ride away. Due to the popularity of the Disney table service restaurants, dining availability may be limited or not available without advance reservations. Please call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations up to 90 days prior to the conference.

Parking at the Contemporary Resort is free to OOPSLA conference attendees. The option of valet parking is $10 USD per day.
