Shape the Future!

OOPSLA 2005 is seeking contributions. This year, it may be your contribution that spawns a whole new technology!

Becoming an active participant is easier than you think. First, look over the helpful hints below to see which events match your interests and the status of your work. Then read how to submit and the guidelines for formatting publications and posters. Finally, read the specific instructions for the area you're interested in.

Some changes to look for this year are the addition of Essays, Lightning Talks, FilmFest, and Software Studies. Also, the call for Onward! papers is incorporated into the general call for Technical papers. For details please read about the Technical Program and what's new in 2005.

The right side of this page shows important deadlines. Note that each category may have specific requirements or some variations. In addition, July 26, 2005, is the due date for camera ready upload for publication in the OOPSLA Proceedings and the OOPSLA Companion.

We look forward to your submissions and to seeing you in San Diego!

Helpful Hints

OOPSLA offers 15 submission areas. That's an intimidating number of options if you've never been to OOPSLA. To help you decide on the most appropriate area for your contribution we've prepared the following table. Pick the row on the left that best describes you. Columns titles on the right list submission areas. The tick marks show which areas are most likely relevant for a given role. Of course, you are welcome to submit to any venue.
